Summer is almost in full swing, and that means two things: no school, and lots of free time! We want to make sure that you get plugged in to a Summer Connect Small Group so that you can deepen and develop friendships, grow in your faith, and have lots of fun this summer. Groups will meet from 6:15-6:45pm every Wednesday night before Activate Wednesday, where a college-aged leader will encourage, disciple, and lead the group in discussion. The small groups are split between gender, where guys meet with guys and girls meet with girls.
What makes the Summer Connect Groups unique is that there is a special curriculum. Since you will have a lot of free time this summer, we to take advantage of the time and read a book together as a ministry. The girls will be going through Lies Young Women Believe: And the Truth That Sets Them Free by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Dannah Gresh, and the guys will be going through Disciplines of a Godly Young Man by R. Kent Hughes and W. Carey Hughes. These are great resources that are specifically designed to help young men and women grow in their faith. There will be a reading schedule that will consist of 1-2 chapters a week, and then we will discuss the topics in our Connect Groups. You can pick up your copy of the book at Activate Wednesday or SWAT for a discounted price. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to have lots of fun and fellowship with friends this summer!
